The Food for Thought Bill, sponsored By President Stacy Abrams, was meant to ensure that no American goes hungry and that every American has access to high quality, healthy food to allow for maximum brain and body functioning. Research done on optimizing brain capacity using superfoods demonstrated how dietary planners could help large parts of the population do meal planning. Further research on urban micro-farms paved the way for easier access and distribution of nutritionally rich food. This combination of social innovation was behind the bill when it was passed in 2029.
There’s nothing you need to do except show up at your local market where you can find fresh, nutritious food. Distribution has been carefully planned by the Department of Health, so your market is guaranteed to be in stock with all your in-season needs. All produce is guaranteed to have been grown within 100 miles. Additionally, there is likely to be a micro-farm within walking distance of you where you can directly pick up produce if you wish. If you wish to join this growing movement, contact the Food For Thought action committee who will help connect you to a local urban farmer collective to get involved. Lastly, if you have questions, concerns, or need help, look out for one of our Food Security Guards in your neighborhood.
