28th Amendment: Right to a Healthy Life

In 2044, the United States congress voted to amend the constitution with the Right to a Healthy Life, granting all people who live on American soil universal healthcare. This program planned to take 10 years to transition away from private health insurance plans. The plan took a number of other laws in order to function which rolled out in phases, first requiring medical practices to accept universal health care insurance, then phasing in groups of people, starting with senior citizens and children, then government employees, and then everyone else. We are currently phasing in “everyone else”, if this is you, keep reading below to see how this affects you.

How Does This Affect You?

For Americans who are just joining the universal healthcare coverage plan, you can voluntarily enroll on the Right to a Healthy Life website. When enrolling, you will need your unique client identifier number as well as an up to date piece of identification. There will be no premiums in this plan, so you will not be required to pay any fees monthly. You can read more about what’s covered at the Department of Health & Human Services website.
